Situated at the gateway to the New Forest National Park, but with easy access to Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton, Ringwood is a thriving market town. Its character has developed over its long history dating back as far as 955AD. The Ringwood area has been discovered by many as an excellent place to live not only for its strategic location for commuting to the major commercial centres but also for its wonderful recreational amenities, and its proximity to the coast.

With some 70 members, Ringwood Ex-Tablers’ Club is an important part of the social fabric of the town, as is the ladies equivalent, Ringwood Tangent. The club is particularly active in its depth and variety of its social and recreational functions and in its lively and entertaining monthly meetings; these are normally held on the third Tuesday. The extent of the club’s activities can be gleaned from the programme of events and the photographs of some of those which have already taken place, elsewhere in this website.

Our golf society normally has 11 outings each year, including a weekend away, and a presentation dinner. A number of members with boats meet for a rally at one of the Solent’s marinas, joined by non-sailing members who arrive by other means. Similarly, several members with caravans meet regularly for camping trips; the highlight of 2008 being a visit to the Normandy beaches, whilst a monthly walk usually ends in lunch at a convenient pub.

Most of our members “graduated” from Ringwood Round Table but a significant number have transferred in from other clubs, normally following a move to the area. We are always keen to welcome anyone who at some stage was a member of Round Table and who might be interested in learning what Ringwood 41 Club can offer.
